River Run's Catfish and Seafood House

About Us

behind the sauce

Our Restaurant

Rivers Run Catfish and Seafood House is the kind of place where stories get swapped across the table and memories are made over second (and third) helpings.

But before the lines out the door, before the seafood feasts and country staples, it all started with a simple dream — and a whole lot of faith.

Catfish & Seafood buffet Restaurant

Our story

Ronald and Melody had spent years working in restaurants, gaining the kind of experience only hands-on, back-to-back dinner rushes can teach you.

One Sunday at church, a word was spoken over Ronald — a prophecy that he would one day own a very successful business.

At the time, he thought it might be landscaping. But as it turns out, God had bigger plans.

In 2015, they took a leap of faith and bought a small country buffet restaurant in Milner, Georgia.

At first, it was simply called Tim’s Lighthouse Country Cooking — and while the name served us well for many years, it often caused a bit of confusion.

Some guests thought we were connected to other Tim’s restaurants or even an older Lighthouse restaurant in the area.

We weren’t.

This restaurant has always been a one-of-a-kind, family-owned labor of love, not part of a chain or a rebuild.

And in 2025, we officially changed our name to Rivers Run Catfish and Seafood House to reflect the true heart behind what we’ve built — a place rooted in family, faith, and good food.

It wasn’t always easy.

The restaurant started as just a good ol’ country buffet.

Then came the catfish.

And a few years down the road, the seafood feasts joined the table too.

From fried catfish and collard greens to prime rib, low country boils, and homemade banana pudding, every dish we serve is a little piece of the South made with love.

Word spread.

Families started showing up.

Friends told friends.

And before we knew it, people were driving from two hours away just to pull up a chair and get a taste.

Meet The Family

The rivers

Even through tough seasons — like the two months we had to close during COVID — Ronald, Melody, and the family never stopped believing in the dream.

They stayed committed to consistency, community, and that feeling you only get when you know you’re right where you belong.

Today, with the help of their daughter Nikki and her husband George, the restaurant is serving bigger crowds than ever — but the mission stays the same:

Serve great food.

Treat every guest like family.

Honor the blessing God entrusted us with.

If you’ve been here before — welcome back.

If you’re visiting for the first time — welcome home.

We can’t wait to serve you at Rivers Run.
